This is an Animated Short we created with the students from Atkins High School in Winston Salem NC. The goal was to bring young kids closer to biotechnology as well as the inner world of the cell, by giving a personality to different organelles. In this case, mr Twist who in reality is the Kinesin biomotor, falls in love with DNA girl who lives inside the nucleus, and invites her to leave her nucleus home behind for a world full of adventure out in the Cytosol. The project took 7 months to complete and the students got a first hand experience of what it is to work on a full scale 3D animation production with a Biotech theme that is well beyond their highschool education.
