A biologia é uma ciência de informação. Apesar da citação de Eörs Szathmáry e John Maynard Smith, a biologia evolucionária não explicou até agora a origem da informação genética [Vide Signature in the Cell, de Stephen C. Meyer]. Muitos fatos mudaram em biologia evolucionária, tanto é que já vem aí uma nova teoria geral da evolução: a SÍNTESE EVOLUTIVA AMPLIADA que não pode e nem deve ser selecionista. E isso não se deve ao fato de 'a evolução ser mal-compreendida' até por especialistas, mas porque no contexto de justificação teórica, a seleção natural de Darwin não fecha as contas epistêmicas desde 1859...
