CRISPR - the breakthrough of the year
Everybody is talking about CRISPR as the breakthrough of the century because of it great potential as a cheap, fast and precise technique. Thanks to the ability to easily copy and paste DNA, scientists can start testing on human cells in the lab. If this succeeds it may be possible to treat genetic diseases, such as Huntington’s disease, muscular dysthy, HIV, and even certain cancers.
